Sports & Games
The Playgrounds of our college are spacious and maintained on par with standards of the Sports Authority of India. Facilities for Games like Ball Badminton, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Volleyball and Indoor Games like Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom are provided. Further,a well-laid pitch for Cricket Net Practice and Basket ball Court are added facilities. Apart from college competitions our students participate in Inter-collegiate Tournaments, Inter-Zone Tournaments, Inter-University Tournaments, District, State and National Level Tournaments and Tamil Nadu Inter-Engineering Sports Events and have won laurels for the College.
Transport
The College has a fleet of buses to facilitate the to and fro Transport of students. A fleet of seventeen buses are operated from different parts of the neighbouring areas to bring the students and staff to the college premises in time. In addition a number of State owned and private town and mofussil buses ply via the college and this place is easily accessible from Tiruchi Bus stand and Railway station. The Government of Tamilnadu has arranged an exclusive bus to ply between Mainguard gate and our college, both in the morning and evening.
Extra- Curricular Activities
Students have plenty of opportunities to involve themselves actively in various extracurricular activities of their choice and interest. The college provides opportunities for co-curricular activities through.

- Celebration of Independence Day & Republic Day and Conduct of Speech, Quiz, Drawing Competitions in our College.
- Celebrating Deepavali with the inmates of the Orphanage (Vidivelli)
- Assisting Training and Placement Cell during Campus Recruitment.

Canteen & Other Amenities
- Canteen facilities with a dining room annexe are available at the Campus and quality vegetarian food is served during the college days.
- Separate STD booth with Xerox facility and a Stationery Store are available for the benefit of students.
- Auditorium and Seminar Halls with good acoustics and LCD Projectors are available in each building for organizing conferences, workshops, symposia and meetings.
- There are Two generators of 140KVA capacity each for use as standby for the Electricity supply in addition to individual UPS Systems available for each Computer Laboratory..
Alumni Association
The Alumni Association of SCE was formed to bring the old students under the Forum for dissemination and exchange of information regarding their experience, knowledge and talents amongst its members and current students of the College and to conduct seminars, conferences, meetings of engineers of all faculties for the purpose of exchange and enhancement of knowledge. There is a good hostel for boys with modern amenities The mess attached to the hostel provides quality vegetarian food.

Our students have secured 4 University Ranks in 2002 ( 1 - CSE, 3 - EEE, including Second Rank in CSE, and First Three Ranks in EEE), 5 Ranks in 2003 ( 1 -ECE, 1- CSE and 3 EEE including First Rank in ECE) , 2 Ranks in 2004 (2 EEE ),1 Rank in 2006 ( 1 - EEE), 7 Ranks in 2007 (3-ECE, 1-IT, 1-ICE, 2-MBA), 2 Ranks in 2008 (1 - CSE, 1-ICE) and 7 Ranks in 2009 (3 - CSE, 1 - ECE, 1 - IT, 1 - ICE, 1 - MCA).. In addition many students got Distinction and First Class to their credit in their academic results.
