1. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s Texas Instruments (TI)

To improve the industry- institute interaction and to enhance the practical knowledge of students, MoU is signed with Texas Instruments (TI) during October 2012. This MoU is signed to arrange for conduction of workshops, design contests, seminars, etc.,

The essential features of the MoU are listed below.

• Setting up the Lab: A Lab named "Texas Instruments Analog Systems Lab" has been set up in our department. Cranes Software International Ltd (which is University Program Partner of Texas Instruments, India) has donated the Analog System Laboratory Kit worth Rs.75,000/- to College under TI India University Program to setup Texas Instruments Analog System lab. Cranes agrees to provide the necessary Initial startup training and learning materials to begin with utilization of Lab.

Kits received under this MoU: ASLKv2010 Starter Kit - 6 No's worth Rs.75, 000/-

• Conducting Faculty Development Programs (FDPs): At least one faculty development / Certification Program are conducted at the college premises for the faculty members to get trained in Analog system design using ASLKv2010 starter kit. One such program was conducted during May 2014.
• Conducting Workshops/ Events: Workshops are conducted in the field of Analog Integrated circuits Design for the benefit of the students.

Activities

• An Analog Design Contest was conducted during May 2014 for the students from various branches like ECE, CSE, IT, EEE and ICE. More than 100 students have already registered for the event.

Prizes won

• 6 batches of ECE students (batch of 2/3 members) were selected and provided with necessary boards and components for the project development enabling them to participate in the National Level TI - Analog Design Contest conducted by Texas Instruments Ltd during February 2013.
• All the selected and trained Students participated in the National Level TI - Analog Design contest conducted by the Texas Instruments in February 2013. One batch of ECE students comprising Mr.S.Niveth Richard, Mr.M.Neeraj Narang and Praveen.P won 2nd prize in this contest.
• One Batch of 3 students - Buvana suriya .R, Ezhil Vani.S, Nandhini Arasi.M has participated in the National Level TI-Analog contest during 2014.

2. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VI – Microsystems Private Limited, Chennai

To improve the industry- institute interaction and to enhance the practical knowledge of students, MoU is signed with VI - Micro Systems Private Limited during 2017. This MoU is signed to arrange for conduction of workshops, design contests, seminars, Internships and Industrial Visits etc.,

The essential features of the MoU are listed below.

• Students will be allowed to attend Industrial Visit and In-plant training.
• Guest Lectures are arranged to the students by the technical engineers from industry.

• III year ECE Students visited VI -Micro Systems on 28.08.2014
• II year ECE Students visited VI -Micro Systems Private Limited on 23.09.2017

Guest Lecture & Workshop

• Mr.S.Vinoth,, R&D Engineer, VI Microsystems presented a Guest Lecture on Cadence Tools to our students on 04.07.2014.
• Workshop on "Practical orientation towards innovation in Embedded and VLSI technologies” on 30.04.2010 for faculties from various colleges.

3. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RAAJ Consultancy and Technology Services (RAACTS)

To improve the industry- institute interaction and to enhance the practical knowledge of students, MoU is signed with RAAJ Consulting and Technology Services (RAACTS) during 2017. This MoU is signed to arrange for conduction of workshops, design contests, seminars etc.,

The essential features of the MoU are listed below.

• Workshops are arranged to the students by the technical engineers from industry on PCB design

4. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tesla Minds, Chennai

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Saranathan College of Engineering signs an MoU with M/s.Tesla Minds Chennai. Tesla Minds is currently working on the Design and testing of Microwave and RF Integrated Circuits and Antennas. Signing an MoU has opened up various opportunities for the students like getting trained in an industrial grade softwares, Internship, placement opportunities and Student Program Projects involving implementation of Microwave and RF Integrated Circuits and Antennas.

5. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Optithought, Chennai

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Saranathan College of Engineering signs an MoU with M/s. Optithought, Chennai. OPTITHOUGHT is an Authorized value added reseller of National Instruments in this part of the country. OPTITHOUGHT is currently focusing on the Supply of Technical Lab Equipments of National Instruments and offering training on those equipments. Signing an MoU has opened up various opportunities for the students like getting trained in an industrial grade software LabView Internship, placement opportunities and Student Program Projects involving implementation of Wireless Communication Systems.

6. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MLGlow, Belgium

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Saranathan College of Engineering signs an MoU with MLGlow. It is indeed a very proud moment to share with you all that SaranathanCollege of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli have signed an MoU with MLGLOW, Belgium for Joint research and development activities, Student Internships and Placement, FTP for Staff and any other activities that the Parties deem mutually beneficial in the field of Engineering and Technology. Dr. M. Santhi, HOD, Department of ECE, Saranathan College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli and Dr.SelvakumarUlaganathan, Director, MLGLOW, Belgium exchanged the MoU’s. During this process senior faculty members of the department were present on the occasion.

7. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Heriot-Watt

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Saranathan College of Engineering signs an MoU with MLGlow. It is indeed a very proud moment to share with you all that SaranathanCollege of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli have signed an MoU with Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia for Joint research and development activities, Student exchange programme, Student Internships, FTP for Staff, and any other activities that the Parties deem mutually beneficial in the field of Engineering and Technology. Dr. D. Valavan, Principal, Saranathan College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli and Dr.Sarat. C. Dass, Professor, Department of Mathematical & Computer Sciences, Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia exchanged the MoU’s. During this process Dean R&D Dr R. Natarajan,all department HODs and senior faculty members of the college were present on the occasion.
